As a result, we are now facing Stage 6 load-shedding, with daily blackouts affecting homes and businesses across the country. The impact on our economy, health and daily life is unacceptable.
Gwede Mantashe was appointed to lead the crucial Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy and he has failed to deliver. Despite repeated promises to fix Eskom and build energy resilience for South Africa, we are still facing the same problems.
It is time for Action. We cannot continue to live in a state of uncertainty and darkness. We demand that Gwede Mantashe be removed as Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy and that a new, competent leader be appointed who will take the necessary steps to end this crisis and build a bright future for South Africa.
