ActionSA adds two great South Africans to its Senate

ActionSA is proud to announce that it has added two further South Africans to its Senate, the party’s highest decision-making body outside of an elective conference.

Both of these South Africans do not emerge from political parties, but rather as ordinary South Africans wanting to contribute their skills and experience to ActionSA’s leadership.

Suren Panday was a student activist in the 80’s and is from Durban. He is an alumni of UKZN, a Chartered Accountant (UK), Chartered Management Accountant and has a Masters in Science in Business Strategy from Manchester University. His thesis was on the “Causes of Business Failure Amongst SMME’s in KZN”. He has travelled extensively in the African continent, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, finance, business restructuring and business strategy. Suren is passionate about small businesses, owning a number himself, and wants to participate in shaping ActionSA’s solution for small businesses to realise their economic and employment potential. He is heavily involved in community outreach programmes, including one that provides 100 000 meals to those in need in this community every month.

Angela Sobey is multilingual, coloured South African with experience in the public and private sector as a mediator, master coach and management consultant. She was a senior consultant for the African Leadership Group, has a passion for the empowerment of youth, women and marginalised communities including the LGBTI community. Angela offers strong perspectives on the institutional changes that are required within the state to achieve a professional civil service, something which ActionSA will draw upon in terms of this critical policy area.

ActionSA takes great pride with the addition of these two great South Africans into our Senate leadership team. We celebrate South Africans joining us from outside of political organisations, bringing their experience and skills to our table.

This Saturday, 7 November 2020, ActionSA will be announcing our youth structures and 3 young members of our party who will join our Senate leadership team.

ActionSA remains deeply committed to the project of building a strong, robust and diverse leadership team. For ActionSA to unite South Africans to Act as One, we are committed to ensure that our leadership team reflects the diversity of our country.
