ActionSA is working with the SAPS to investigate the murder case the murder of our slain volunteer, Mothusi Thibedi and offers a R50 000 reward to anyone who can assist the SAPS by providing information that will lead to the successful arrest and prosecution of Thibedi’s murderer.

Thibedi was gunned down outside his home by an unknown assailant last Monday 12 October 2020 after returning from his routine rounds with the members of the community policing forum.

The unidentified man ambushed Thibedi shooting him once in the back and twice in the chest. Despite the rush to get Thibedi medical assistance, he, unfortunately, died on the way to the hospital.

The reasons surrounding the murder are still unknown at this stage, but all indications point to this being a hit. Whether or not Thibedi’s killing was politically motivated, is yet to be determined.
