ActionSA has lodged a complaints against Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality with the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for their failure to provide water to the community of Diepdale and Mooiplaas respectively.

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) has failed to respond to ActionSA’s application in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) within the legislatively mandated 30 days to gain access to the report into whether President Cyril Ramaphosa’s failure to disclose the foreign currency, which was stolen at his Phala Phala farm in 2020, was indeed unlawful.

This afternoon, ActionSA laid criminal charges against the Ngwathe Municipal Manager, Fikile Malunga, requesting SAPS to investigate the Municipality for contravening the Water Services Act by failing to prevent pollution from Tokoloho and Sungat Sewer Pump Stations which flows into the Vaal River in Parys contaminating the water.
