ActionSA Tshwane welcomes the arrest of Ngcebo Thusi, the man accused of allegedly killing Ntokozo Xaba, a 21-year-old TUT student who was found dead at her off-campus residence on Thursday, 02 February 2023.

ActionSA expresses its anger on behalf of the residents of eThekwini that only the MEC of Economic Development bothered to file an answering affidavit by the deadline for government departments and entities cited in ActionSA’s legal proceedings about the eThekwini Sewage Crisis to file their answering affidavits, while eThekwini Municipality, Mayor Kaunda, the KZN MEC for COGTA and various other provincial and national departments did not bother to meet this deadline.

ActionSA is shocked that the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) has approved the City of Cape Town’s application for a permit to continue pumping raw sewage into the ocean at Green Point, Camps Bay and Hout Bay for another five (5) years.

Contrary to DA Leader, John Steenhuisen’s assertion that saving Former Mayor Phalatse was a “price too high to pay”, the announcement of City of Johannesburg Mayor Thapelo Amad’s Mayoral Committee might be the real price too high to pay for the residents of our great city.

In the interest of holding the ANC government account for the energy crisis, ActionSA will be taking joint legal action against Eskom, the Department of Mineral and Energy Resources and the Department of Public Enterprises, and the Government of the Republic of South Africa to take them to task over Eskom’s failure to provide South Africa with a stable energy supply.
