ActionSA Welcomes MMC Kholofelo Morodi’s Suspension Pending Full Investigation into Madlanga Commission Allegations

ActionSA welcomes the decisive action taken by Executive Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya to suspend MMC Kholofelo Morodi pending the outcome of a full investigation into the concerning allegations arising from the Madlanga Commission.
Earlier today, ActionSA announced a full internal investigation and while this process is ongoing, we fully support Dr Moya’s efforts to ensure that the highest standards of integrity are upheld among ActionSA’s public representatives, with all allegations fully scrutinised.
South Africans are all too familiar with political parties that are slow to act against allegations of impropriety or simply sweep them aside. ActionSA will never adopt that approach and, where any allegations surface, we will always act immediately to establish the full truth and mete out accountability where warranted.
As a party with zero tolerance for corruption and unethical conduct, ActionSA will support all efforts to uncover the full facts through a thorough and fair investigation that leaves no stone unturned.
ActionSA also commends Dr Nasiphi Moya for directing immediate engagement with the Madlanga Commission and for working to ensure cooperation between the City and the Commission, so that the City can urgently protect and uphold the integrity of its institutions.
It must be made clear that ActionSA will always run towards accountability, not away from it. We will provide continuous updates to the people of South Africa on this matter with full transparency.
