ActionSA Applauds Successful Cleanup of Illegal Dumping Site in Tshwane
Tshwane Caucus Whip
ActionSA Flora Monama
ActionSA is pleased to announce the successful cleanup of an illegal dumping site at Fusion Secondary School in Lotus Gardens, Pretoria West. This significant milestone underscores our commitment to addressing environmental hazards across the City and fostering safer, healthier communities for all residents of Tshwane.
The Cleanup operation was initiated following a complaint lodged by School Governing Body in June 2023. As ActionSA’s Chairperson of the Section 79 Oversight Committee on utilities services, played a pivotal role in sustaining engagement throughout the process. Despite facing initial challenges due to strike action, the City’s Environment and Agricultural Management department worked tirelessly to clear the site.
We commend the School Governing Body, Cllr Monama and our dedicated officials for their collaborative efforts in making this cleanup operation a success. Their commitment to protecting our environment and infrastructure is truly commendable.
However, we urge residents to remain vigilant and to report any illegal activities they come across. Through our collective vigilance, we can prevent similar issues from arising and build a cleaner, safer and more sustainable Tshwane that we can all be proud of.
ActionSA remains committed to working hand in hand with community and relevant stakeholders to ensure the ongoing protection of our environment and the wellbeing of all residents. Together, let us continue to build a thriving and sustainable Tshwane.
