ActionSA urges the National Police Commissioner to ensure that the South African Police Service (SAPS) prioritises the swift finalisation of all outstanding forensic reports, so that justice is neither delayed nor denied in the tragic case of Jayden-Lee Meek.
The prolonged wait for crucial forensic findings not only deepens the pain of Jayden-Lee’s loved ones but also erodes public confidence in our justice system. Every day without answers is a failure of the system to bring closure and accountability in a case that has gripped the conscience of the nation.
We expect SAPS to treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it demands, and we call on all relevant authorities to act with integrity, transparency and compassion in honouring the life of Jayden-Lee Meek.
