ActionSA wishes to extend its heartfelt congratulations to the global Catholic community on the election of His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, as the 267th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.
Following the passing of Pope Francis in April, Pope Leo XIV now assumes spiritual leadership of more than 1.3 billion Catholics worldwide.
We express our sincere hope that his tenure will honour the enduring legacy of his predecessor, while guiding the Church forward as one of the world’s most historic and influential institutions.
ActionSA stands in support of efforts that bring people together in service of a more humane and united world, and accordingly hopes that, under the leadership of Pope Leo XIV, the Catholic Church continues to play a vital role in promoting compassion, justice, and peace.
