ActionSA extends heartfelt congratulations to the matric class of 2024 for their remarkable achievements in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.
This year’s results are a testament to the hard work, determination, and resilience of both learners and educators across the country.
In particular, we celebrate KwaZulu-Natal for achieving an impressive 89.5% pass rate, the second-highest in the nation. This marks a significant improvement of 3.1% from 2023 and a remarkable 6.5% increase from 2022.
The province has further distinguished itself by producing the highest number of Bachelor passes and the most distinctions nationwide.
These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of KZN’s educators. Once again, our teachers have demonstrated their commitment to empowering our youth and preparing them for a bright and prosperous future.
This success reflects countless hours of hard work and perseverance. The learners have made their families, schools, and communities incredibly proud.
To those who may not have achieved the desired results, we encourage them to remember that this is not the end of the road. We encourage them to rise, register for their matric year again, and continue striving toward success.
As part of our commitment to evaluating scholar readiness, we will conduct oversight visits to various schools to assess their readiness for teaching and learning.
This initiative stems from our concern that many schools in the province have not received the necessary support from the Provincial government.
Well done, Class of 2024!
