ActionSA Gauteng Notes Bargaining Council Outcome and Calls for Calm

ActionSA Gauteng notes the outcome of the exemption application hearing at the SALGA Bargaining Council. We view the conclusion of the Bargaining Council process as a positive step towards ending the unlawful and illegal strike that has been ongoing for almost over months.

As ActionSA, we’ve always maintained that the exemption application must be finalised, and in the meantime, workers must go back to work and abide by the rule of law.

In the interest of residents of Tshwane, workers and the City of Tshwane administration, as ActionSA Gauteng we will make ourselves available to engage all the stakeholders in this matter to find an urgent sustainable solution that will benefit all, especially our residents that have suffered a great deal due to lack of service delivery.

As we do so, we call for calm heads from all stakeholders and again call on all workers to go back to work and serve the residents. As they do so, ActionSA commits to them that we will embark on discussions that should produce a balanced approach that will preserve the long-term well-being of the residents, workers and the City’s administration.
