ActionSA Joins Global Community in Celebrating International Human Rights Day
Lerato Ngobeni
ActionSA National Spokesperson
ActionSA joins the global community in celebrating International Human Rights Day which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) which defines basic human rights for all people living on the planet.
We reiterate our commitment to building a South Africa where discrimination, inequality and injustice are eradicated, and human dignity is respected and upheld.
Twenty-seven years after the adoption of the South African constitution which for the first time guaranteed several basic human rights to all people living in the country, ActionSA celebrates the progress which has been made but also acknowledges the challenges we face.
We believe more should be done to ensure that the human rights of each South African are adhered to and they receive the basic liveable conditions as defined in the South African constitution. Too often, the basic human rights of South Africans are infringed upon by the state.
As a party that champions the realisation of basic human rights for all people, ActionSA joins hundreds of nations worldwide which have adopted and signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and commit to working with role-players to ensure that every human worldwide receives the basic human rights they are entitled to.
A better freer world is possible and ActionSA will work tirelessly to achieve that goal.
