ActionSA Thanks David Tembe as he resigns as Joburg councillor to focus on 2024 elections
Funzi Ngobeni
ActionSA Gauteng Provincial Chairperson
ActionSA thanks Councillor David Tembe for his service to the residents of Johannesburg over the past 18 months as he resigned as a city councillor to turn his focus to helping us win the 2024 elections.
Both as a councillor and as a former member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for public safety, councillor Tembe has exemplified ActionSA’s values of ethical leadership by always putting the needs of residents first.
As MMC, he helped oversee one of the largest expansions of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department and grew Buya Mthetho operations to fight crime and restore the rule of law.Councillor Tembe made the decision to resign after speaking to ActionSA leadership, and we welcomed his commitment to helping ensure that we dominate in the 2024 elections. He remains a member of ActionSA’s Senate, our highest decision-making body.
ActionSA looks forward to working with Councillor Tembe in the months ahead as we work with more and more communities to help remove the ANC in 2024 and start the all-important work of fixing South Africa.
