ActionSA Tshwane Caucus Applauds TMPD for Taking Action to Restore Order in the City

ActionSA’s Tshwane Caucus applauds the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) for their successful enforcement operations conducted on 24 January 2025. These operations, carried out in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, show a clear commitment to reclaiming our city by enforcing laws and creating safer, more orderly communities.

We also applaud the strong leadership of Executive Mayor, Dr Nasiphi Moya, in prioritising community safety and ensuring that the City’s regulations are upheld. The efforts in Refilwe township, Cullinan, and Sunnyside highlight a proactive approach to tackling issues that affect the daily lives of our residents.

Shutting down non-compliant businesses is a bold step towards creating an environment where laws are respected, and the safety of our residents is a priority. Actions taken against illegal foreign nationals and the issuing of infringement notices further demonstrate that law enforcement is serious about protecting our communities and holding violators accountable.

ActionSA believes that accountability, effective enforcement, and safer communities should be at the heart of good governance. We stand firmly behind the Executive Mayor and the TMPD as they work to restore integrity and order in Tshwane.

We encourage ongoing collaboration between law enforcement, community stakeholders, and the City to ensure these efforts are not just short-term victories but long-term solutions. Together, we can build a Tshwane that all residents can be proud of.
