ActionSA wants answers from MEC about the closure of a clinic, schools and other government services after failure to pay Eskom

ActionSA demands answers from the MEC of Public Works, Road and Transport, Mandla Ndlovu, about the closure of the Lows Creek Clinic and Thusong Service Centre due to non-payment of Eskom debt.

Schools, the clinic and other government services that are offer by the Thusong Service Centre have been closed for over a month.

The Thusong Service Centre is a one-stop service centre providing government information and services to communities based on the needs of the Lows Creek community i.e. home affairs, social development etc.

Subsequent to the closure of healthcare facilities in the Lows Creek community, it has an adverse effect on public healthcare users, including those who are on chronic medication.

ActionSA reiterates that there is a need for wider appreciation of the rights to education and the rights of children, particularly in the course of the failure by the provincial government.

Poor leadership ethics have badly contributed in the leadership challenges in the South African.

We urge MEC Mandla Ndlovu to urgently pay Eskom and prioritise the lives of South Africans.

ActionSA will act as one to build a dynamic, efficient and citizen orientated public service that serves the interests of the South African people, and we will professionalise the public sector once in government.
