ActionSA Welcomes Investigations into Masselspoort Incident

ActionSA notes with concern the reports of an alleged racist incident that took place at a Masselspoort swimming facility on Christmas Day.
A full and proper investigation must ensue forthwith so that the whole and full truth can be brought to light and the appropriate action taken.
ActionSA unequivocally condemns all forms of exclusionary segregation and racism which must not be tolerated in form at all.
ActionSA therefore welcomes the criminal investigation into this matter and requests the SAPS to act swiftly and to ensure that any criminality is prosecuted after a thorough investigation has been conducted.
We also note that this matter has already been reported to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and we look forward to their report on what human rights were violated in this regard.
