ActionSA Welcomes Investment Summit in City of Tshwane Next Month

ActionSA welcomes today’s announcement of the City of Tshwane’s Investment Summit on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, where strategic city-owned assets like Wonderboom Airport, Tshwane Events Centre, Fresh Produce Market, Pretoria West Power Station, Rooiwal Power Station, Bon Accord Quarry, city-owned resorts, nature reserves and heritage sites, as well as city properties and strategic land parcels for student accommodation and affordable housing will be presented for investment.

ActionSA Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya and her mayoral committee’s announcement at Rooiwal substation this morning illustrates their determination to help grow Tshwane’s economy at an average of 3,9% by 2029.

Work on creating a business-friendly city has already begun, with the recent restructuring of Tshwane’s Strategic Investment Committee (STRIC), the continuing role-out of the City’s New Applications Processing System (NAPS) to accelerate the processing of new land-use and building plan operations, and the VIP Business Line that provides dedicated support to the City’s top 200 businesses.

Investors can expect a complete support and incentive package to be presented at the Investment Summit next month, as well as infrastructure development plans from the City of Tshwane. Initiatives like the Investment Summit are central to the Tshwane Economic Revitalisation Strategy, and showcase the new administration’s determination, under the leadership of ActionSA Mayor Moya, to build a sustainable future for all of its residents.

ActionSA is committed to job creation, innercity rejuvenation and improved service delivery for all the residents of the City of Tshwane.
