ActionSA Will Continue to Seek Justice for the Vulnerable

ActionSA welcomes the decision by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) to terminate its contract with Nal’ibali following serious allegations involving individuals associated with the programme.

While we recognise the noble intent behind literacy development initiatives like Nalibali, ActionsA will not tolerate any situation where such platforms are exploited to endanger or take advantage of vulnerable children. Literacy and education programmes must not become breeding grounds for abuse.

We, therefore, call on the GDE to strengthen its vetting and safeguarding procedures to ensure that individuals granted access to our schools and children are beyond reproach.

The safety, dignity, and well-being of learners must always take precedence over institutional or reputational interests.

The protection of our children, particularly from those who are expected to nurture and inspire them, is non-negotiable. ActionSA stands firm in our commitment to fight for justice and to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

We will continue to advocate for accountability and systemic reform to ensure that such failures are never repeated. ActionSA remains resolute in our pursuit of justice for the vulnerable and the voiceless.
