City of Johannesburg EISD Committee Chairperson’s Interventions Yielding Positive Results

City of Johannesburg Environment and Infrastructure Services (EISD) Committee Chairperson Cllr Vhengani Munyayi hailed the recent strides and interventions made by the Sustainable Service Cluster in addressing service delivery deficits.

The cluster has reported service delivery successes, which included the restoration of electricity at City Deep Greenfields.

Recently, City of Johannesburg office of the Chair of Chairs, together with EISD Chairperson, Cllr Munyayi led an oversight visit at Bramfischer Phase 2 where residents raised myriad of service delivery challenges.

Yesterday, Chairperson revisited the area with EISD committee members and Water Management and Biodiversity team to conduct a study pertaining to the underground water source in Bramfischerville.

ActionSA believes that the City is in a good position to enhance the service delivery., However, this needs concerted efforts and collaboration.

The more than 6 million residents of the City of Johannesburg deserve better and sustained water and electricity, amongst others, and a working City under ethical and capable leadership.

Time of mediocrity and political grandstanding is over. EISD Chairperson has committed that residents of Johannesburg will continue to witness improved turn around time in addressing their service delivery challenges.
The Cluster will continue to identify issues but, most importantly, address those identified issues swiftly.
