Herman Mashaba’s Powerful Story, “Black Like You” Comes To Radio and YouTube

ActionSA President and Mayoral Candidate, Herman Mashaba, is proud to announce that his acclaimed book, Black Like You, has found a new life through an audiobook that is narrated by Ayanda Allie.
The audiobook offers audiences an opportunity to experience Mashaba’s personal journey, reflections, challenges and perspectives through the power of storytelling and voice.
This project was conceived with our youth in mind who are facing significant challenges in our society. These include high unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse, and a lack of quality education in the majority of public schools across the country.
The audiobook is intended to inspire young people to understand that their challenges and circumstances do not define them or determine their destiny. President Mashaba’s life is a story of an ordinary man who defied the odds placed against him and built a life through determination, resilience and hard work.
From Monday to Thursday, between 19:30 and 19:45, listeners will be able to hear Black Like You on a network of community radio stations across Gauteng and Limpopo:

– VMC Planet Radio
– Alex FM
– Sosha FM
– Mams FM
– Pheli FM
– Sedibeng FM
– Cosmo FM
– EK FM
– Westside FM
– Kofifi FM
– Thetha FM

The project will also extend to digital audiences, with interviews of each chapter airing on YouTube every Wednesday at 19:00.
