It’s not yet Uhuru for ActionSA in Mpumalanga as we will not celebrate Freedom Day

Mpumalanga ActionSA will not celebrate the freedom day as the Lily Mine Victims families of Solomon Nrirende, Pretty Nkambule and Yvonne Mnisi are still camping outside the mine waiting for the retrieval of their loved ones.

We are still waiting for answers from SANPARKS and the Minister of Tourism Ms Patricia de Lille about the missing of Kruger National Park employee, Mr Cherkers Mashego who went missing on duty at Kruger National Park.

We still waiting for answers from MEC Vusi Shongwe from Safety, Security and Liaison  and MEC of Health Sasekani Manzini, as ActionSA wrote to the MEC of Safety and Security Vusi Shongwe to increase security by deploying the police to the hospital and  to ensure that workers are safe to go back to work to the closed Themba hospital.

It is not uhuru for the people of eMalahleni, as they stay for months without water and the Mashishing – Marikana settlement that has no water from 2012 till to date.

ActionSA cannot celebrate freedom day as we wrote to Premier Mtsweni Tsipane to address the challenges of school overcrowding, and how our learners are being denied the dignity of learning in an adequate environment in the province.

How can we celebrate the freedom day if for two years pit toilets are overflowing in Govan Mbeki Municipality Charles Celliers Communities leave in distress?

14 years later, the current government at Govan Mbeki has brought back these undignified and degrading forms of toilets to haunt communities.

Contrary to this, 10 farming communities, Syfontein farm, Genadirsfontein farm, Irenedale farm, Knopiesfontein and other farms are still complaining that the municipality is failing to empty their VIP toilets that are full.

As Mpumalanga ActionSA we say enough is enough for the brutal treatment of the current government.

We urge South Africans to view ActionSA as an alternative to solve their challenges as we will be pro-poor governance agenda, which will ensure that the most vulnerable in our society – the Forgotten People – can live a life of dignity.
