Lediga Steps Down as Limpopo Provincial Chairperson

Yesterday I communicated to the structures of Limpopo my resignation from the office I have held as the Limpopo Provincial Chairperson.

When I undertook to Herman Mashaba to fulfil the responsibility as the Limpopo Provincial Chairperson it was on the understanding that this would not be a long-term role but rather one that would focus on the initial building of structures for the campaign.

The timing of my decision to step down relates to the recent publishing of my book Dodging the Civil War Bullet which has made me appreciate the need to pursue my writing career without the contradiction of being a high-profile politician.

Over the past year, I have worked with a team in Limpopo that has achieved incredible feats of launching structures across this province and contesting a by-election in Moletjie Village in Polokwane where ActionSA showed its ability to win votes from the ANC and EFF. I am proud of the work of our team and the role I have played in leading them.

I affirm my ongoing commitment to ActionSA and will remain a loyal and active member of the party. I continue to believe deeply in the values and policies of the party and remain excited about the growth of ActionSA.
