Dear Candidate,
I write to inform you that the candidate elections for the ward that you contested did not achieve a high enough level of votes cast by members of the public.
Arising from this, the Candidate Selection Committee has resolved that it cannot declare a successful candidate given that too few residents of the ward expressed their preference during the period of voting.
I am sure you will understand why it is important that, under such circumstances, the Candidate Selection Committee must reconvene to determine a method of finalising the selection of a candidate for your ward.
This process will begin in earnest, and you will not be excluded from its considerations.
While we realise this may be disappointing, declaring candidates elected from a low number of votes cast would potentially result in candidates prevailing who may not be the best servants of their communities.
The candidate selection committee will be in touch in due course.
We thank you for your understanding.
Kind Regards
Michael Beaumont
National Chairperson
