As many did in 1994, we should be energised to go to the polls to vote for what is possible in South Africa.

This year’s elections provide the best opportunity to change the direction the country is taking

We are not a one-man party but have a depth of leadership unlike any political party currently in South Africa.

This past week I had the distinct honour of unveiling ActionSA’s national elections posters at the Carlton Hotel in the Johannesburg inner city.

I am writing this having just returned from Lily Mine just outside Barberton, Mpumalanga, to commemorate the eight years since tragedy occurred at the mine.

This past week, I had the privilege to join ActionSA Eastern Cape chairperson Athol Trollip in his province for four days where we visited a number of schools, spoke to the business community, and engaged voters at public meetings.

As we enter the new year, many pupils and students are eagerly entering the next phase of their schooling career.

It was a rare moment of unity in a country often divided by our many economic and social divides.

It has now been nine months since Patricia first brought the case of the hijacked building in Germiston to my attention.
