Under the leadership of President Ramaphosa our economy continues to suffer from a profound lack of leadership resulting in each release of these statistics only being a question of how many more South Africans find themselves without a job.
The KwaZulu Natal Provincial Executive Committee met on 22 March 2022 and unanimously endorsed our next candidate on the PR list, Ms Busi Radebe, as the suitable candidate to fill the vacancy within council. Her name has subsequently been submitted to the office of the speaker and we will await the date of her swearing in.
ActionSA’s Senate will consider instituting a high court review of this ridiculous decision by the Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests. ActionSA will send a message to Julius Malema, and all other MPs, that positions of public service will not be used to drive anarchy and lawlessness in South Africa.
This afternoon, following the ANC-led South African government’s abstention in a UN General Assembly vote on a resolution denouncing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and calling for its immediate withdrawal, ActionSA resolved to take a clear stance on the matter and met with the Ukrainian Ambassador in South Africa, Liubov Abravitova.
ActionSA is confident that Councillor Ngobeni will lead the ActionSA Caucus effectively and ethically. He will work to ensure that our Councillors participate within the coalition in Johannesburg in such a manner that it is the residents of Johannesburg who are served and not political parties.
Following a series of public outbursts in January, ActionSA instituted a disciplinary inquiry into the conduct of Dr Khoza, with charges including bringing the Party into disrepute, deliberately acting in a way that negatively impacts the Party and acting in a manner that causes disunity in the Party.

ActionSA is deeply concerned that over the past several weeks, we have attempted to engage, with no success, with the Gauteng Department of Health (“DOH”), regarding security guards who have been camping at the Edenvale Hospital. These security guards had not received their salaries for three months, and were unfairly dismissed, on the basis that the service provider, JackCliffy Trading, has terminated its services for the DOH.
