Dear Actioneers,
ActionSA continues to serve as a constructive opposition in the Gauteng Legislature and beyond, championing the needs of our communities while holding government accountable.
It is deeply distressing that the Khutsong West Clinic will close on 1 May due to the continued threat of dolomitic sinkholes. This closure will have devastating consequences for the health and economic stability of residents. Despite repeated pleas from the community, ActionSA’s urgent calls, the Premier’s 2023 SOPA promises, and the R5 million reportedly spent on rehabilitation, no tangible work has been completed—only further deterioration has occurred.
In another alarming development, Tembisa Hospital’s emergency unit was recently engulfed by fire. Thanks to the swift response of Ekurhuleni and Gauteng emergency services, no lives were lost. Our Spokesperson on Health, MPL Emma More, has called for the results of the official investigation while expressing serious concern over ongoing violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act across provincial healthcare facilities.
As ActionSA, we remain unrelenting in our mission to build a better Gauteng for all. We will continue advocating for service delivery, accountability, and the rights of our residents.
To our committed members and supporters—thank you. Please continue to encourage voter registration and assist others using our portal.
Membership booklets are available in all regions for members paying cash. Our regional drives are intensifying, and we call on all Actioneers to get involved.
