ActionSA Bokone Bophirima is happy to announce a vibrant membership campaign drive that aims to actively recruit new members, relaunch and revitalise our branches and regional structures around the province.
Following the May national and provincial elections, ActionSA Senate recognized the need for an enhanced membership system, which has now been successfully launched. Subsequently the North-West provincial executive committee (PEC) has entrusted me as the Provincial Secretary with spearheading this important initiative, and I am already seeing significant progress.
A New Era of Self-Reliant Auctioneers is Upon Us.
To build on our performance during the 2024 National Provincial Elections (NPE), the Senate took a decision to introduce a new online membership system designed for better monitoring and administration.
Here are some updates from the Provincial Secretary’s desk regarding our membership statistics since the rollout:
– Strategic Review: After a thorough review of our 2024 NPE performance, the Senate determined that a new system was necessary for efficient operations.
– Testing Phase: The first testing phase of the online membership system began on August 16, 2024, with feedback from our regions and provinces leading to refinements.
– Launch Date: The new online membership system officially launched on the 1st of September 2024.
– Membership Growth: From 1st September to 21st October 2024, our province registered 106 new members, demonstrating a strong interest in our party.
– Rural Accessibility: To ensure that members in deep rural areas can easily register, requested ActionSA National Office to develop a manual membership registration system, making the process seamless and accessible in our largely rural province.
New Membership Recruitment, Relaunch and Revitalizing Our Branches in Bokone Bophirima
“In my view Branches are the heartbeat of any political party. Their establishment and active maintenance are critical for measuring our strength and effectiveness”, says Motsamai.
Here is how we are revitalizing our branches in Bokone Bophirima:
– Ongoing Revitalization: We have initiated the branch revitalization process in the Ngaka Modiri Molema to region in Mahikeng Municipality, successfully launching and relaunching five branches from August to October 2024, and counting. On a daily basis our Actioners on the ground are actively canvassing for new members across the province, with or without resources.
– Milestone Achievements: In the Ratlou Municipality, a difficult area during the last election, we proudly managed to launch an additional branch, an achievement that highlights the resurgence of the growth of ActionSA as a new party in the province, fuelled by the spirit of “Ikanye Wena Mindset Campaign” we have recently adopted as a province.
– Empowered Activists: We have also assembled a team of experienced grassroots activists dedicated to overseeing branch effectiveness and ensuring that our local structures are robust and engaged to avoid the collapse of the branches in the future.
Our Future is Bright!
As we gear up for the upcoming local government elections in 2026, our membership drive campaign is not just about numbers; it is also about an Ikanye Wena Mindset Change, to build a strong, united, self-reliance branches and communities that are committed to first making a difference in their own localities. We invite all interested individuals to join us in this exciting journey to Fix the North-West province. Together, we can make a decisive impact in our province and beyond.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to strengthen ActionSA in the North-West province!
