This is not us, South Africa. We are not the radicals who hate and sow divisions. We are not the extremists or the racists. We are the good, hard-working, law-abiding, family-oriented and freedom-loving people of our beloved country, and we are in the majority.

ActionSA has received written communication from the IEC that confirms our application to be registered as a political party has been approved.

There is no denying that the number of Covid-19 infections are rising in a manner that requires swift action. Political parties have an important role to play in this regard in respect of their members and communities.

Today’s hearings of the State Capture Commission of Inquiry have laid bare much of the cover up that has been perpetrated by Geoff Makhubo and the ANC to cover what appears to be serious corruption.

The DMRE continues to hide behind the Business Rescue Process to avoid doing anything for the former miners, while professing publicly to want to resolve this matter.

Johannesburg Mayor, Geoff Makhubo, has today been fingered by testimony given by an expert forensic investigator to the State Capture Commission in relation to alleged corruption between the City of Johannesburg and EOH.

Last week, in response to a question on Twitter, I cited a figure of 15 million undocumented foreigners in South Africa as evidence of our porous borders. It turns out that this figure was incorrect. None the less, this week our Minister of Home Affairs was forced to admit that we have a serious immigration problem. On that, at least, I hope we can all agree.

What I have seen is a City whose people are desperate for change for a new and credible alternative to the ANC.

It did not seem to matter who I was talking to or where they live, the people of Durban are fed up with the current political parties.

ActionSA supporters have spoken through this process, and despite the high confidence in a high court review succeeding, 92% of more than 8000 official views have guided the organisation to change the logo and proceed.

We are calling on our supporters to have their say. Takes the IEC to court, to challenge the rejection of their registration, or changes the logo, and re-apply for registration.
