ActionSA, UDM and 17 others claimed victory today by securing electricity supply to all South African public health establishments, schools and police stations, after we won Part A of our court case against the Minister of Public Enterprises and others.

ActionSA is outraged to learn that an African National Congress (ANC), Mzimuni Ngiba, ward 101 councillor in the eThekwini Municipality is still receiving his remuneration from the Municipality, despite being behind bars for the past 12 months on the charge of murder.

ActionSA has written to Minister of Home Affairs, Aaron Motsoaledi, and Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, to urgently intervene in the ongoing violence caused by Zama Zamas in the community of Riverlea in Johannesburg.

The families of the Lily Mine Victims – Solomon Nrirende, Pretty Nkambule and Yvonne Mnisi – are shocked by the ANC Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula, and COSATU General Secretary, Solly Phetoe’s, planned visit to Lily Mine without prior consultation with the families.
